Актуальность. Сохранение исторической памяти о событиях прошлого и объективное отражение отечественной истории остаются не только научными, но и важнейшими государственными задачами современной России. В условиях участившихся попыток фальсификации истории и девальвации ее героических страниц деятельность ученых-пассионариев, посвятивших жизнь поиску исторической правды, приобретает особую актуальность. В этом контексте фигура Александра Николаевича Манжосова занимает исключительное место в интеллектуальном пространстве Центрального Черноземья и всей страны.
К юбилею ученого, который воспринимается научным сообществом не просто как личная дата, а как значимая веха в развитии регионального исторического знания, возникает острая необходимость в системном осмыслении его научного наследия. А.Н. Манжосов широко известен не только как «летописец военной истории Курского края», но и как исследователь-новатор, сумевший гармонично объединить академическую строгость университетской науки с активной, подчас подвижнической гражданской позицией.
Цель ‒ определить научную значимость исследовательской деятельности А.Н. Манжосова по восстановлению и сохранению памяти о событиях региональной и военной истории.
Задачи: выявить основные направления научного поиска исследователя, отразить важнейшие достижения историка в реконструкции событий прошлого; оценить степень взаимного влияния общественной и исследовательской работы в творческой биографии юбиляра.
Методология. Методологической основой исследования стало следование принципам объективности и историзма. Поставленные задачи решались с привлечением историко-биографического, историкогенетического, историко-сравнительного методов.
Результаты. Проведенное исследование позволило систематизировать знания о вкладе в историческую науку одного из наиболее ярких, эмоциональных и трудоспособных региональных исследователей, благодаря активной творческой деятельности которого восстановлены неизвестные ранее факты военной истории региона и железнодорожного транспорта страны.
Вывод. Историографическое наследие А.Н. Манжосова направлено на объективное отражение исторических фактов, ориентировано на персонификацию прошедшей действительности, имеет не только важное теоретико-методологическое значение, но и носит существенный прикладной характер, всемерно внедряясь в систему патриотического воспитания граждан.
Relevance. The preservation of historical memory about the events of the past and the objective reflection of national history remain not only scientific, but also the most important state tasks of modern Russia. In the context of the increasing attempts to falsify history and devalue its heroic pages, the activities of passionate scientists who have devoted their lives to the search for historical truth are becoming particularly relevant. In this context, the figure of Alexander Nikolaevich Manzhosov occupies an exceptional place in the intellectual space of the Central Chernozem region and the whole country. By the anniversary of the scientist, which is perceived by the scientific community not just as a personal date, but as a significant milestone in the development of regional historical knowledge, there is an urgent need for a systematic understanding of his scientific heritage. A.N. Manzhosov is widely known not only as the "chronicler of the military history of the Kursk Region", but also as an innovative researcher who managed to harmoniously to combine the academic rigor of university science with an active, sometimes selfless civic position
The purpose is to determine the scientific significance of A.N. Manzhosov's research activities on restoring and preserving the memory of regional and military history events.
Objectives: to identify the main directions of the researcher's scientific search, to reflect the most important achievements of the historian in reconstructing the events of the past; to assess the degree of mutual influence of public and research work in the creative biography of the hero of the day.
Methodology. The methodological basis of the research was following the principles of objectivity and historicism. The tasks were solved using historical-biographical, historical-genetic, historical-comparative methods.
Results. The conducted research made it possible to systematize knowledge about the contribution to historical science of one of the brightest, most emotional and able-bodied regional researchers, thanks to whose active creative activity previously unknown facts of the military history of the region and the railway transport of the country have been restored.
Conclusion. The historiographical legacy of A.N. Manzhosov is aimed at an objective reflection of historical facts, is focused on the personification of past reality, has not only important theoretical and methodological significance, but also has a significant applied character, being fully integrated into the system of patriotic education of citizens.
